  42. Memory Protection signals programs that write to illegal memory areas
  43. to quit. On Un*x or similar systems this usually ends the program leaving
  44. a (huge ;) core dump behind. And MP would require at least an MMU and
  45. you could run NO (repeat: NO!) existing Amiga apps.

  51. MP is not needed IMHO. It costs memory and make the system much slower.
  52. It also leads to programmer which do not pay as much attention to memory
  53. allocations as before. I would appreciate every programmer using Resource
  54. Tracking while developing his apps. VM app does exists as well as a quite
  55. good replacement for RTG (CyberGFX). Networking is also possible with add
  56. on apps. And such a computer cannnot be compared to one running Windoof.
  57. And beside: VM is expensive because you need a fast SCSI Adapter + HD.

  62. Perhabs they are but on the other hand how many Users are directly connected
  63. to the net ? And how many of those use an Amiga ? Count that in before
  64. you complain about prices.
